Let's kick this blog off with one of the best food experiences I have had in a long time: an impromptu post-dinner trip to Milk & Cream Cereal Bar taken last Saturday as my friend Rebecca - who you'll be hearing of again so keep an eye out - strolled through Little Italy. When we arrived, we were charmed by the cartoon decorations that reminded us of our childhoods, and though the line was long, it moved quickly. The menus was the right length - not too long that it overwhelmed us but also offering plenty of fun options - and the staff was great. Huge shout-out to the girl at the register who offered us complimentary water just because she overheard Rebecca say she was thirsty. We didn't even ask, she was just generous, and in the 90 degree heat she basically became our angel for that. Then our cups arrived - and I would recommend cup over cone (something I just about never do) because it helps manage the thick treat better. Ohh baby! My Cocoa Dough cup was absolutely heavenly! It had the perfect amount of thick, creamy texture to sweet, exciting flavor ratio and I ate up every bite. Though Rebecca expected actual Cookie Crisp cereal rather than the cookie crumbles that came with her cup, she still ranked it ten out of ten, and I would have to agree. If anything, the only downside to Milk & Cream Cereal Bar is that it is going to slow me down from getting to every other dessert place in NYC. New goal: try every specialty combination that is signature to Milk & Cream, then create my own! 10/10 flawless, I am psyched to report this is a five-star establishment.
